I have heard that there is a 'disco taxi' in sydney - Not quite as elaborate as that one though. Have heard of it?

Have *you* heard of it?

damn typos ;)

Kelc, there is or was a disco cab around a few years ago. It was an extended Ford with a hi-top, complete with disco ball, flashing lights etc. However, I couldn't find it with a quick Google.

Something tells me I saw it recently, without the cab livery, which suggests he had problems with renewing authorisation and was now operating as a hire car.

Of course, The Ultimate Taxi would never receive accreditation here nor road registration, due to the distraction factor in the drivers field of view. For this reason insurance wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. But in America ? Only in America...

Way cool. Beats the talk back radio that is usually inflicted on one when riding in a cab.

If I have to listen to Brisbane's John and Ross from 4BC going on about crap when I have to take a cab to get work by 7.00am I will seriously, well, ask the driver very nicely to turn the bloody thing off.

I have seen your Taxi at German TV! Thats realy great!!!!!

I run a Disco Taxi In Wokingham, UK. About 30 miles west of London. It is nowhere near as elaborate as jon's cab but again i need to consider licensing issues. I have roof lights, a 15" monitor, blacked out windows and use the monitor for pop videos and Karaoke. Customers love it and it costs the same as any other taxi.

Hi Everyone,
Thank's for putting me in the "Cool Stuff" Section.
The whole idea behind The Ultimate Taxi was to make work fun! Cause life is too short to not like what you do.

Have Fun and Take Care,

Mark, your cab also sounds like an cool set-up. I suspect you have a lot more restrictive vehicle regs than in the US.

Nice to hear from you Jon. Just couldn't resist posting on your magic taxi. Good luck to you.
