Cabbie Forums

Image1091_1Cabbies have various means of communicating with each other - verbal, mobile phone, internet forums or dunny walls.

At left is a dunny forum at the Sydney Airport holding yard providing advice on dealing with service station operators, runners and bullies.

Other cab dunnies serve as casual message boards for a range of news and opinions. Oh dear.

Comments

It's a pity more cab driver don't blog.
Our paltry effort, even though it's pretty much run its race now, was very effective in bringing together a group of very dissatisfied drivers by showing them that the problems that they thought were individual ones were in fact shared by the majority.
It also gave some of them the chance to vent their spleen in annonymous way and to build a feeling of mateship amongst a group of disenfranchised drivers.
At the time we worked for a man whose management stategy was to divide and conquer and the blog really helped us avert this.
If anyones interested the easieast way to blog is to start at www.blogspot.com and go from there.
