Cablog Update
Three weeks into the sabbatical and it’s time for a quick update. This period has been overtaken by events on the home front plus a major blog development. After 57 years living in the family home my aged mother has decided to relocate to a nursing village.
Besides dealing with the emotional aspect of selling the home, Mum has unfortunately ended up in hospital after sustaining back injuries, alighting from a taxi ! Unbelievable. It never rains...as they say.
At the same time I’ve been invited to supply content on the NSW election for Australia’s largest newsite, ninemsn. This material is in the form of my popular category, CABPOLL. With only ten days or so remaining to the March 24 poll, it’s envisaged some half dozen CABPOLLS will be posted. So feel free to check it out at the ninemsn NSW election page.
Finally, many thanks for readers' best wishes and patience over this period. Despite endless shifts the blog break has certainly been helpful and I’m now angling for a short holiday after the election. Looking forward to sending some rural posts from paradise. Cheers, Uncle A.

Just read the Cabpoll; great stuff.
I usually get my news from the ABC and avoid the popup-ridden cross-promoting advertainment ninemsn like the plague. However, for you Adrian, I'll definitely make an exception.

Yes only 4 posts on what I consider the homepage (what I get when I click thru bloglines). I was also very confused until i noticed the dates on CABPOLL (why am I reading 2004 news!).
Good for you, but I'm also an avoider of ninemsn and given I neither live in NSW or Australia no real need.

Yes, only 4 posts on the page. Could it be date related? The earliest post on the page is dated 15th Feb. Could it be that the system defaults to only show 1 month's posts on the front page?

Thanks folks, Mum is comfortable and should be out in a few weeks. The display issue appears to be at the host's end and possibly the result of some newly installed software. Hopefully Help desk will sort it out soon. Adrian.

Sorry to hear about your mum and the loss of your family home.
My family home was razed last year to make way for townhouses. It was so sad!!
