Cheers
Well, I guess it’s time to wish all my reader a wonderful festive season. With many readers now finished for the year I trust all have a rewarding and relaxing time with family and friends.
Christmas is not my favourite time of year, being a relief driver and all. Yet with Tuesday a regular day off, this year I’ll be able to celebrate a rare Christmas Day.
After this I launch into a block of six straight nights, twice, over the next few weeks as our other drivers take holidays. This is how I prefer it, though, allowing me to take a vacation in February, after the schools resume.
Finally, if you’re heading out of town please don’t drive after dark, unless you’re a super ‘highway-fit’ driver. If not, the high-speed rampaging trucks will soon having you wishing you’d chosen a daylight run.
Stay safe and enjoy.

All the best, ol' son... here's hopin' ya have a safe and prosperous festive season! MC & HNY :-)

Firstly, all the best for the season to you and yours, Adrian.
As an expat Sydneysider, I drop in here regularly to have a look at the old home town in pics and stories, and although I have been away for over twenty years, I still get a little homesick when I read Adrian's little snapshot stories of a day (or a night) in the life of the ol' hometown.
Thanks for the peeks into the city life, mate. Sometimes I wish I was back home again, and other times I am glad to have left it all behind. Sydney will always have a special place in the memories, not all good, but always special, and even more so from the peeks behind the PR facade.
Power to the writing arm, friend, and all the best for the next year.
