Wizardry

Victoria Road, Gladesville shops. I've seen it too. Magic! Hmmmmm.

I don't know whats magic about it?

I think you need to look around more Adrian, there's plenty of good treatments for all sorts of conditions that don't involve drugs and have more lasting effects. I don't pretend to know what this is about but the fact that there's a Medicare rebate strongly suggests that it has proven clinical efficacy.

Microwave fried brainwave treatment.??? They just plug you into one of those towers for a quick blast.

I'm guessing No money back guarantee offered.

Spot on, John. I was going to title this piece of inspired marketing, 'genius'. However 'wizardry' - exceptional creative ability - seemed more fitting, if a little obscure.

Fellow cab diver here, and not just posting to generate site clicks.

Minutes ago I posted on a topic loosely tied to depression.

One may need to experience it before mocking it.

I attempted to portray just how bad it was affecting me, but couldn't. I gave up. Let me stess that I had a baaaaaad couple months.

Two years ago at the age of 23 I went there and they diagnosed me with ADHD and depression. I have to say that I was not at all impressed with their less than thorough methods. They measured my "brainwaves", then 2 of what seemed to be first year out psych graduates sat me down and asked a barrage of short answer questions about the inimate details of my life, from childhood onwards. I then recieved a lengthy report in the post (no follow-up) that bascially slotted me into various boxes of standard-issue DSM-IV dictionary definitions.

My issue is that, after initally booking an appointment at a time of great distress for me, I showed up (after applying for and being granted Leave from my government job to get there) and they had told me the secretary who entered the appointment wrong and instead of picking up the slack and fitting me in, I was forced to make time another few weeks later.

My sister in law is a member of the pyschologists assosciation and as a pyschologist, in agreeance with the therapist i was seeing at the time, was thoroughly skeptical about the validity of the report.

And lastly, no follow-up phone call was ever made to me once I recieved this report. Nothing. Just the one "interview" and that was it. I remember being in the waiting room, surrounded by anxious mothers and their primary-school aged children, being horrified to think that these children would be given sub-standard care and may lead to many years of unnecessary medication. While "no-medication" may have been their mantra, I can't imagine that such poor care can lead to anything but money in their coffers.
