As the broadband issue finally came to life this week most passengers were supportive of the Government's NBN proposal as compared to the Opposition's alternative solution. It seems to be a question of do we invest less only to spend more later, or spend up now for the best system...

In comparison with the rest of the civilized world we operate a broadband system that belongs in the dark ages. As technology is the way of the future I don't care who builds a better infrastructure, just do it, and do it quickly.
BTW., don't forget to watch Tony Abbott on Q and A on Monday night. I am looking forward to it, even though my old black and white TV takes some time to warm up and the reception is dodgy at the best of time.
Usually we sent one of the kids on the balcony to hold the antenna in the right direction.
That baby bonus did come in handy in the end !
